hahaha! Conan has to prevent three murders BUT do it in ways that will preserve the attempted murder evidence, so ALL the culprits survive AND get arrested. :> yeah... a bottle cap would NOT stop a real rapier thrust. also, when actors need to rehearse/act with live steel... IT IS NOT SHARP! it just looks sharp from a distance. plus, if they were stupid enough to have live steel with edges... they would be LOCKED IN A SECURE container, inside a secured room, with limited access. not just openly hung on a sword-rack in an unlocked room anybody could walk into!
